This lesson introduces ideas about the nature of Allah and the Oneness of Allah (Tawhid). The pupils will have to define oneness and explain its relevance and application to the Islamic ideas of Allah. Analysis of scripture is included. Pupils will understand shirk and its severity in a modern society. There is an interactive plenary which has pupils review the content in the lesson and summarise it using pop culture. The teacher will rectify any misunderstanding or gaps in knowledge. 2. Discussion will help assess the class’ understanding of reasons to punish as well as the UK’s forms of punishment. 3. Pupils will provide understanding of what a crime is. Through peer assessment, the crimes will be prescribed appropriate punishments according to the pupils understanding of Christian views and their own opinion.
